Well what a dry Spring we have had so far, although, as I write it looks as if it might pour at any moment! Like us, we’re sure many of you will be in your gardens getting things ready for the summer, wistfully hoping there will be many sunny BBQ days ahead!
Congratulations to our many Hillview patients who ran the London Marathon, what a fantastic day that was. Hopefully you remembered to stretch well before and after your run – also good advice when gardening!
As always we are on hand to support, advise and of course treat, should there be any sprains and strains for our runners and gardeners alike!
Alison & Christina xx
Comings and Goings!
It is with sadness that we announce that Penny took early retirement in March. Penny has been a part of the Hillview team for almost as long as Hillview Physio has existed! We had a lovely afternoon tea party at Christina’s to send her on her retirement in style! She will be sorely missed by all.
Dot, Maddie & Matt
Dot, who has worked in the office for just over a year, has decided to work on a more casual basis, covering holidays and sickness.
We are delighted to welcome Maddie to the admin team, she’s already proving to be a dab hand with the computer and is settling in nicely.
We are please to announce that Matt Setter will join our physio team in May. He comes highly recommended by Andy and Anne, who work with him over at the Woking Community Hospital. We’re sure he will fit in well and look forward to him starting!
With the tennis season fast approaching it’s virally important we have the correct racquet to avoid injury.
There’s a great blog on our websites News page, ‘Tennis Top Tips’, written by Christina, which gives all the advice you need to ensure you have the correct racquet for you.
Hopefully it might improve your game too!
Congratulations Helena & James!
Just after Easter, our physio Helena got married in Somerset. She looked absolutely stunning in a lace column dress.
Helena and James were so lucky with the weather, with a beautiful clear blue sky drinks were served on the terrace, before heading into the coach house for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
We would like to wish them love, luck and good wishes for the future and many happy years of marriage!
Anne attended a talk at The SurreynOrthopaedic Clinic in January. Anne reports Mr Chana & Mr Jacobs gave a good update on current surgical procedures.
Lizzie & Ben attending a talk on Limping Child & Young Adults in March. They both thought it was very informative.
Chris & Helena went to London for a talk on Shoulder Instability by Consulting Physio Anju Jaggi. Good for patients with recurrent dislocations.
A few comments received from patients this month:
Ben you’ve saved my life! Thank you for your in-depth & concise analysis of my problem. I would not hesitate to recommend your clinic. – MJ
Anne did an amazing job on my back. I feel like I’m floating out of here! – SMc
Helena was very good, got me fit again! Much appreciated. – JD
Robert Green, one of Ben’s patients recently ran in the Surrey Half Marathon.
He did amazingly well, coming 9th with a time of 1hour 13 mins and 53seconds!
His mum didn’t even have time to take a photo!
